Trivia about his professional life

He doesn't like to watch himself on screen and will only watch his own movies once.

Many actors were considered for the main role on Wicker Park, as Freddie Prinze Jr, Brendan Fraser and specially Paul Walker, but he refuse the project, forced by his engagement for 2Fast 2Furious.

He was set to star in S.W.A.T. (2003) as Jim Street  but backed out. Colin Farrel was cast instead.

For a fight scene in The Fast And The Furious, Paul and Matt Schulze had prepared a choreography, but they weren’t satisfied of the result so, in the end, they improvvisied.

Was considered for the role of Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four (2005), and for Superman, but he refuse that part ‘cause he didn’t like the idea to become a franchising-movie actor, he’s do it yet with TheFast&TheFurious. 

Was listed as a potential nominee on both the 2004 and 2006 Razzie Award nominating ballots. He was suggested in the Worst Actor category on the 2004 ballot for his performances in the films 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) and Timeline (2003). And he was suggested again two years later in the Worst Actor category of the 2006 Razzie nominating ballot for his performance in the film Into the Blue (2005) . He failed to receive either nomination.

Paul said that he was very sorry with Vin Diesel, after his refiuse to bve part of 2Fast 2Furious, ‘cause he think that they were partners.

Paul often works with relatives and friends. His father Paul Walker III appears in The Skulls in the role of the boxing coach, and also as boxing consultant. His father, a great expert of weapons, work sometimes in his movie as weapons consulent, as in The Fast & The Furious, and The Death and Life of Bobby Z (as Paul Walker Sr.) His brother Caleb also sometimes works in his movies, as in Into the Blue (as Set production assistant)  or The Death and Life of Bobby Z (as Loaders and 2nd Unit “A” camera assistant). In Running Scared, Caleb is the Paul’s double in the external vision of bullet through the glass’s scene. Paul’s friend and co- owner of the Be Good Production, Brandon Birtall, work as Paul’s assistant on Noel and Into the Blue. Paul’s stunt double is Oakley Lehman, whom he has been best friend with since he was 7 years old.


His job in the industry also got Paul a few new friends, especially Scott Caan, an actor he works often with, as in
Varsity Blues or Into the Blue. Paul has formed a friendship with Tyrese Gibson, his co-star from 2 Fast 2 Furious, Jason Biggs from the movie Eight Below, and even Jessica Alba from Into the Blue.

Near the end of the shooting of Running Scared, director Wayne Kramer was needing a technocrane and short of money, due the low budget of this indipendent movie. Paul offers to take off what was needing for that from his low pay, to give to Wayne the chance to go on with his vision of the movie.

 

Trivia about his personal life

Paul is very bond to his family, to his brothers Caleb and Cody, and his sister Ashlie. His parents were always a great support for his career, and they have encougared him to become an actor.

His grandfather Paul Walker, Jr. raced cars for Ford.

He wanted to enrol in the US Army when the Gulf War first broke out.

His friend calls him The Vagrant, ‘cause he’d never lived so much in the same place. He likes spend most of his time into the nature, and he had a big love for animals.

Friends with Kylie Tyndall and  Keaton Tyndall

Paul has studied a few forms of martial arts that include Brasilian Jujitsu, Taekwondo, Jeet Kune Do and Eskrima. Paul mentioned in a magazine interview that he hopes to be able to enroll himself as a student in Keysi Fighting Method when it comes to the United States martial arts talent. Aside from that, Paul enjoys working out. His fighting scenes in the movies he has acted in eventually developed a passion for martial arts.

Describes himself as a "total gear head".

Is a big fan of Marine Biologist Jacques-Yves Cousteau.

In his spare time Paul likes to surf and play other water sports with friends, take his cars to the track or do some skateboarding. He is an avid driver and surfer.

Paul has studied several martial arts forms including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, in which he is a purple belt (3° grade on 7).
