PAUL- BIOGRAPHY

 

Paul William Walker IV  was born September 12, 1973 in Glendale, California (USA). Son of Paul William Walker III, a former Golden Gloves champion and now a retired sewer contractor, and  Cheryl Crabtree, a former fashion model, Paul has 2 younger borthers, Caleb and Cody, and a younger sister named Ashlie. His family has irish and german anchestries, and a strong military tradition. His paternal grandfather, Paul William Walker Jr (know also as “Irish” Billy Walker) was a middleweight boxing champion and a survivor of Pearl Harbour; his maternal father commanded a tank battalion in the 7° Division, under General George S. Patton, in Sicily, Italy, during the World War II.

Paul was raised as a Mormon, and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He grew up   in Glendale, California, and the nearby Sunland, California. He attended The Carden Lee School, Alfred Nobel School and later the Village Christian High School, where he played for his high school football team. Here    also graduating in 1991, and voted as most popular by his graduating class. During his late teens Paul was involved in a crime, but his police record is clean.

Paul’s career beging soon. When he was no more than 2 years old, his mother come back to work, and, under the counselin of her agent, carry his baby with her...soon Paul get more contract than his mother! According to the legend, one of his first work was for a Pampers Diapers’s advertising in 1975, but all of Paul's siblings got into child modeling as well, so probably wasn’t him in that one. At one time, when he was 12, he had 7 national commercials on air at the same time. In the ’80 Paul began to work on TV sitcoms as Diff'rent Strokes (1978), Charles in Charge (1984) and Highway to Heaven (1986). He co-starred in two movies, the Bob Dahlin’s horror comedy Monster in the Closet (1987) and Programmed to Kill (1987), as well as played on one season of the series Throb (1986) in 1987. After that, Paul decide to take a break, and come back to a normal teenager’s life. Afert his graduation he decide to go on with his education, attending at most of the southern California’s university, to study marine biology, while he worked odd construction jobs - a skill he picked up from summers working with his dad as a way of earning some cash.

In 1993 he also recurring role as Brandon Collins on The Young and The Restless (1973) soap opera. Paul take another break, but returned again to acting in the 1994, with a role in Tammy and the T-Rex. However, the film did not fair well and the disappointment hit Paul hard, causing him to leave acting behind once again. Paul spent a lot of time traveling the world, hitting such exotic places as Thailand, Costa Rica and Fiji. He ended up running up over $40,000 in credit card debt because he had been out of work for so long, and this put Paul in a pretty desperate situation. It was to the point where he was living in a friend's garage, ready to have to sell his truck to survive.

His hard situation ended when he got a call from his former agent telling him about a role on Touched by an Angel. But is with his roles on Pleasantville (1998) and Meet the Deedles (1998), that he find a consistant opportunity to work again in the movie’s industry.  In 1999 he co-starred James Van Deer Beek in Varsity Blues. That same year, Paul and his then-girlfriend had a baby girl named Meadow Rain Walker, born November 4. Paul and Meadow's mother, Rebecca, break before Meadow’s birth, and Meadow is currently living with her in Hawaii, but Paul spend at least a week per month with his daughter. After small roles in She’s All That  (1999) and Bokedown Palace (1999),director Rob Cohen gave him the possibility to co-star Joshua Jackson in the secret-society thriller The Skulls (2000). Paul get his first leading role in Joey Ride (2001), but is with the next The Fast and the Furious (2001) that he really received his big break, along with his co-star Vin Diesel. Paul starred in the big screen version of Micheal Crichton’s Timeline (2003) before return in the Brian O’Connor’s role for 2Fast 2Furious (2003), this time co-starred by Tyrese Gibson.

Next he works with Penelope Cruz under the Chazz Palminteri’s direction in Noel (2004), with Jessica Alba in Into the Blue (2005), and again with Mr. Palminteri in the intense movie Running Scared (2005). This movie didn’t get the attended success, and Paul acept the role of Jerry Shepard in the Disney’s movie Eight Below (2005). He said that he get the role because he want to work in a movie that in could be seen also by his daughter. In 2006 Paul strongly desire be part of the Clint Eastwood’s Flags Of Our Fathers (2006) and he fortunately get the role of Hank Hansen, one of the original soldiers who place the american flag on the top of Mount Suribachi in the Iwo Jima Island, during that hard WWII battle.

Paul starred with Laurence Fishbourne in The Death and Life of Bobby Z (2006), a movie based on the Don Wilson’s novel. In the same period Paul create his own production company, with Brandon Birtell and Tim Whitcome, the Be Good Productions. The Lazarus Project (2008), directed by John Glenn, marks the launch of Be Good Productions, a movie about a man (Paul) who has everything he's ever loved stripped away from him; and to earn his life and family back, he must face obstacles of mystical origins, endure countless tests of his faith, struggle with his own sanity, and explore the depth and the power of his soul. Be Good will also produce the horror The Neglected (2008), with Adam Beach (Flags of Our Fathers). In 2008 Paul  reprises Brian O’Conner’s role in Fast and Furious (2009) along with Vin Diesel and Jordana Brewster, that will be released on June 2009. He's currentling in talk to work again with Wayne Kramer, the director of Running Scared, in two new projects, and will play with Hayden Christensen and Matt Dillon in Bone Deep (2010).
