DVD REVIEWS AND NEW SITE

The Lazarus Project DVD is out now for lucky people of Region1, read some reviews here and here.

Probably you notice the advise under the menu, due to little tecnichal problems, especially with the Gallery and the Videos, I’ve decide to re-create the site. PW-Fan will re-birth under the new name of THE VAGRANT, with a new address and style. Further informations will be provided soon. Please stay tuned and follow us in the new home!!

Paul Walker on why he returned for Fast and Furious

After starring in the first two films in the “Fast and the Furious” franchise, Paul Walker ultimately decided not to appear in Part III. So why in heaven’s name, then, would he want to come back for Part IV?

“A lot of money,” Walker laughed on the set of his new film “Bone Deep.”

Here’s the punchline: He’s actually only half kidding.

“I don’t know,” Walker added. “I thought it would be fun to go back and do it one more time to close it out.”

Whatever the reason Walker chose to return is almost irrelevant, of course, since his presence is sure to excite fans of the series regardless. But it’s not who’s in the film that fans will be talking about, thinks Walker, it’s who’s not.

“When I did the second one everyone said ‘What’s up with Vin [Diesel]? Why didn’t he come back for the second one?’ And then I didn’t do the third one everyone was ‘Why didn’t you do the third one?’” Walker said. “But now everyone is going to be ‘Where’s Tyrese [Gibson]?’ I fought for that, to have him on board and it just didn’t work out.”

The particular scene of gunfighting MTV witnessed between the crew of Elba, Brown, Walker, Ealy, Christensen and the Russians, rehearsed several times over many days, comes towards the end of the film when "one of the dudes in the crew double-crosses us, sold us out," Walker explained, causing a giant battle between the celebratory group of thieves out for the tried-and-true "one last score" and a consortium of foreign baddies.

BONE DEEP RELEASE DATE & THE LAZARUS PROJECT DVD

According to 411mania.com :

Bone Deep, the Screen Gems crime-action film starring T.I., Matt Dillon, Hayden Christensen, Zoe Saldana, Idris Elba, and Paul Walker will come out January 8th 2010. It is assumed that the film will finish production before T.I. has to serve a one-year prison sentence next spring.

Bone Deep is currenting filming in LA downtown, from BlogDowntown.com:

Stage 6 Films is the company for 2009 feature Bone Deep, which stars Paul Walker, Hayden Christensen and Matt Dillon. The shoot will be taking two concurrent closures this weekend. On Saturday, 6th will be closed from Spring to Los Angeles from 7am to 10am. The shot description reads:

Occasional traffic and pedestrian control. Driving scenes. Camera and equipment on sidewalk, in curb lane & across street. Exterior dialogue. Near hits & misses. Stunt driving. Picture cars driving in reverse flow of traffic. Generator.

PAUL HIRED TO BONE DEEP

From The Hollywood News :

Paul Walker and Hayden Christensen have both been hired to star in BONE DEEP, a new movie co-written and directed by John Luessenhop and co-written by Luessenhop, Gabriel Casseus, Peter Allen and Avery Duff.
The film, which also stars Matt Dillon, revolves around a group of criminals who find their $20 million plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective. Dillon plays the hard-boiled detective. Walker stars as the leader of the bank robbers. Christensen is a rookie detective.
Musician's Chris Brown and T.I. are also part of the cast.

The film, set up at Sony's Screen Gems, rolls into production soon.

Coming Soon is reporting that Vin Diesel is directing a 20 minute prequel story to the upcoming Fast and Furious, the fourth film in the Fast and the Furious franchise. In the short "film" Diesel will star along with Michelle Rodriguez reprising her role as Letty and Sung Kang returning as Han. Diesel didn't say how the prequel would premiere; it could be on a DVD, online, TV, etc.

Diesel and Rodriguez returns along with Paul Walker in the fourth film hitting theaters June 5, 2009.

Cheating death is just the beginning as the new Paul Walker thriller The Lazarus Project (n.d.r. is the new title for The Heaven Project) hits DVD on Oct. 21st from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for the suggested retail price of $24.96. The DVD will include deleted scenes from the film.

NEW SUMMER LOOK!

New summer look for the site! I hope you like it! Quentin Tarantino did a 40-minute interview with Enzo Castellari, the director of the original Inglorious Bastards, for the three disc special edition dvd release. The interview includes a few juicy tidbits about Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards. Quentin says that his story is too big for one movie, and will be split into two films, as Kill Bill. Over the years many names have been mentioned as being involved in the film. The list has included also Paul Walker. Tarantino now claims that the names were just conversations and nothing more. NEW FF4 PICTURES AND QUENTIN BASTARDS

QUENTIN TARANTINO FINALLY INTRODUCING US TO SOME INGLORIOUS BASTARDS?

Quentin Tarantino was in Cannes again this year, and he revealed that he has finished the first draft of his super-long-in-the-writing World War II ensemble project, Inglorious Bastards, which he says he hopes to have ready to bring back to the festival in May, 2009. Supposedly, the script, which may end up being more than one movie (ala Kill Bill) was as huge as 600 pages at one point (the average movie script is about 100-115 pages). Not a lot of plot details are known about Inglorious Bastards (except that it's set about U.S. soldiers fighting Nazis in France) but over the years, some of the names that have been mentioned (by either QT or the actors themselves) as possibly joining the cast are Michael Madsen, Sylvester Stallone, Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy, Paul Walker, Tim Roth and Bo Svenson. That's quite a varied cast, but so were the stars of Pulp Fiction. I guess though my only question would be... aren't most of those guys a lot older than the average World War II G.I. Joe? Specifically, their average age is 49 (I did the math!), while Paul Hardcastle's Nineteen taught us that the average WWII soldier was 26. Or maybe their seasoned status is what makes them both bastards and inglorious? Anyway, it's a Tarantino war movie.

EVILSEEK: FIRST DETAILS

First plot for Evilseek:

“... a supernatural thriller about how every thousand years in Hell they elect a new Satan, and the reigning Satan has to take on the body of a mortal and find his successor, the most evil person alive. He takes over the body of an FBI profiler on a terrible serial killing case in LA. He’s inherited a 13 year old daughter and an ex-wife, and he’s kind of the moral center in a messed up world. It’s pretty cool and depraved.”

"The Weinstein Co. has acquired Evilseek, a supernatural thriller that Wayne Kramer wrote and will direct. Thomas Jane is set to star.

Kramer, who last directed The Cooler and Running Scared, will produce Evilseek with Michael Pierce through their True Grit Prods. banner. TWC is fully financing.

Kramer has committed to make the film his next directing assignment, and the plan is to shoot later this year.

Jane will play a cop so demoralized by the handiwork of a serial killer that he commits suicide. Satan uses the cop's body as a vessel, inheriting a disgruntled ex-wife, a promiscuous 15-year-old daughter, a lesbian partner and some of the cop's dogged determination to catch the killer.

No mention of Paul Walker yet, even if he recently said he’s gonna be set as Satan (details here). Funny note: Thomas Jane declined the role of Joey Gazelle in Running Scared due to scheduling conflicts, Paul was the second choice, now they’re set to work togheter for the same director.

I’ve been reached by a rumor about one of the next projects of Paul Walker and Wayne Kramer. For a local newspaper, one of the movies will be shoot in Winnipeg, either this year or next. A couple more cats join the race…cast as hotshot African American Malik in the new Fast and the Furious sequel – they’re calling it “Fast and Furious” at the moment - is Neil Brown Jr, currently in “Never Back Down”. Malik’s a smug rev-head that’s hell-bent on cleaning the floor – or rather, road – with Dominic Toretto (and his Chevelle), having heard so much about the king-of-the-road from his younger brother. In addition, Dominican Republic-based actress Mirtha Michelle (Dead Reckoning) is playing the role of Cara in the film. The twosome joins Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Gal Gadot, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, John Ortiz and Sun Kang for the Justin Lin-directed pic, now shooting in the Dominican Republic.

OFFICIAL NEWS ON FF4 AND A FAN SITE

I'm still working on the site, I've put on the Affiliates on the home page, but I have some problems with the Gallery, so uploads are going slower now, sorry! Finally, it seems that we have the first official plot and title for FF4!!! Title: simply FAST AND FURIOUS. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker reteam for the ultimate chapter of the franchise built on speed "Fast and Furious." Heading back to the streets where it all began, they rejoin Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster to blast muscle, tuner and exotic cars across Los Angeles and floor through the Mexican desert in the new high-octane action-thriller.

According to Universal's description: When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) reignites his feud with agent Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker). But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanuever him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what’s possible behind the wheel.

Anyways director Justin Lin is already talking about making one more film (???!!) before retiring the series, but we'll have to wait to see how high gas prices climb first. Fast and Furious will arrive in theaters on June 5, 2009. News on The Moving Pictures and Cinematical.

A LOT OF NEWS!

Welcome back to the new version of PaulWalkerFan[dot]net!

As you can see, there's a lot of changes! Firstly it has now a new webmistress, if you like to know something more about it, go here.

Most of all, I wish to thanks Fascette, to have created this site, for all her work, and to give me the chance to keep it alive!

I hope you like the new look! And, as you can read, the site is now in english. I choose to translate it to make it accessible by more people all around the word, and especially I hope that PaulWalkerFan[dot]net will become a pleasant place for all the European Paul’s fans!

All the pages are been translated, and many also extended with more informations. Few pages are still Under Construction, and for a while, (hopefully a short while!) the Gallery, and the Videos Page will still be in the old version, I'm working to re-organize them and upload more material...by now, I've start with uploading into the Gallery the HQ poster of The Heaven Project, some pictures from the set of Bobby Z, and also I've started to upload the captures of this movie.... more is always coming, I’m looking everyday for the newest news, so...stay tuned, take a look around, and I hope you’ll enjoy the new version of the site!

Now some news about Paul!

First, remember, The Death and Life of Bobby Z’s DVD in store! Check out your fave DVD’s store for your copy of Bobby Z, distribution is start in 2007’s mid summer in Europe too, you’ll find it as Bobby Z in UK, as Kill Bobby Z in Germany, and as Bobby Z- il signore della droga in Italy. Blue-Ray version will be also available in UK from April 14, 2008.

Latest Paul’s movie, The Heaven Project, was filmed last summer in Canada and marks the launch of his own production company, the Be Good Production, along with his long time friends Tom Whitecomb and Brandon Birthall, who also produced Bobby Z. Sony Pictures has purchased domestic rights for this film, that’s currently scheduled for a third-quarter theatrical release in 2008, although they may opt instead for a straight-to-video release. A first public trailer was available for a short period on the Aglet Production's site, but it's been deleted, for unknow reasons, anyways, if you have an authorized Aglet's Access, you could still see it here: theheavenproject_trailer.html

For what I've seen in this preview, I think that this movie looks really interesting and some scenes are very heart touching...

Be Good will produce also the movie The Neglected, with Adam Beach (Flags of our Fathers).

Early in the past year, I had found rumors of a movie that Paul really wish to do, called Papa. It’s a story about a young writer that found a mentor and a father figure on Ernest Hemingway. Paul is casted to work with Sir Anthony Hopkins and Meg Ryan. Paul also said that they had lost the project, but they’re still interested to pull it toghter, sooner or later!

In october, some sources, as Hollywood Reporter or IDBM, report rumors about an Untitled Fast & Furious 4.

Now is official, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker reunite in this new F&F installment that will be out probaly June 5, 2009. Justin Lin and Chris Morgan, who were behind The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, are returning to directing and writing duties. Neal Moritz will produce the movie along with Vin Diesel, who will produce through his One Race Films. Shooting’s start at the end of february, and will end probably in june, locations in Los Angeles, Mexico and Dominican Republic.

Rumors about the story ...**please note that NOTHING is confirmed yet, so take it just like RUMORS!**

The movie is set 5 years later the first one. Fenix and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) are working for the mexican crime boss Antonio Braga, whose importing heroin with the assistance of some hot-car drivers. We found Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) in jail in Arizona, tougher and colder than before, bearded, tattooed and undercover again, in here he meets an informant named James Park. Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) is working as mechanic in Santo Domingo, with Tego and Han (2 characters from Tokyo Drift, Han is death in this movie, so this seems to be a prequel...). They rob a train. During a race, Letty die, and Dominc go to LA, attending the funeral from apart to avoid police, but he’s reached by Brian, who’s not gonna stop him. Brian have made a deal with the authorities. He’ll help stop Braga, if they uncuff him and let Dom walk. Brian wins a spot on a street race that Braga’s number.1 man, Jorge Campos is going to be at. He makes friends with Campos and Braga; wins a spot on his tag-team and gets Dominic a gig too. They infiltrate in Braga’s organization, to find Letty’s murderers and to stop Braga’s business.

Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster reunites too. Jordana's character Mia’s been asked to deliver the car of crashed and burned Dominic’s lover Letty to him. And, of course, she’s falling in love with Brian again. Recently, at the Premiere of Never Back Down, Paul says that he's fighting to get Tyrese back too.

New characters in the film include Gisele, one of the female organizers with a crush for Dominc, portraide by israelian’s model Gal Gadot, a rogue named Fenix and a smart-ass named Dwight, who taunts Brian a bit.
